WHY IS A WEDDING DJ SO IMPORTANT?

Your Wedding DJ is more than just the music guy... they should serve as your master of ceremonies, your reception wedding planner/coordinator, as well as the person responsible for providing the music appropriate for your celebration.

AFTER THE VOWS...
  • 72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment.
  • Almost 100% say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.
  • During wedding planning, Brides say their highest priority is their attire, followed by the reception site and caterer - reception entertainment is among the least of their priorities. Within one week after their reception, 78% of Brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority!
  • When asked 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment.

*These statistics were published in St. Louis Bride & Groom Magazine in 2003. Sources include: Simmons, 2001; USA Today, 2002; National Bridal Service, 2001; The Knot, 2002; Brides Magazine, 2001.

What some of our recent clients said...

Dear Chris,

We wanted to commend you on a superb performance you gave at our wedding.  Guests are still talking about the way you lead others in enjoying themselves by obviously having a good time yourself!  From joining in on the hokey-pokey to your playful banter with the guests during our 'game show' dismissal to be buffet, you are a true master of ceremonies.  Not to mention how calm we felt with the events of the day, knowing you were carefully orchestrating it all.  We can't thank you enough!

Rachel & Luke (Golden, Colorado)

Chris has been a master of ceremonies for years, including for a major convention of over 1500 people!  Rehearsing every announcement and the pronunciation of everyone's name is essential to making your wedding a perfect event.

A wedding entertainment coordinator/planner

Planning a wedding is a big task, and all the help you can get is important.  Whether you have a wedding coordinator to assist you, or if you are planning it all with your fiancé, family and friends, having a professional help you work through your wedding and reception is essential.  Starting with our online or paper planning guide, we will work through each aspect of your wedding and/or reception, with options every step of the way.  We are not only your DJ, but your personal planner from start to finish.  On average, Chris spends 20-60 hours on every wedding, not including the actual wedding reception!

A Professional Disc Jockey

Many people may ask what makes a disc jockey professional?  A professional DJ knows how to read a crowd and understand what type of music is appropriate and know every detail of their equipment.  They should serve as a sound engineer, lighting designer, and

overall event planner.  See our information on what questions to ask when hiring a DJ!
